One of the greatest Arab singers who ever lived, Umm Kulthum, also known as ” Kawkab Al Sharq” or “Star of the Orient” had mesmerised audiences for over 50 years with her unparalleled voice and raw emotional power.
Her legacy continues to have a great influence on the Arab world.

Singer- songwriter Ghalia Benali started her artistic career in 1992, blending different types of music, connecting different cultures; reviving the old and rooting the new are a natural outcome of mixing the two extremes she lived through.
Born in Brussels, raised in south Tunisia. Her music has been noted for its attribution to multiple genres and defining contemporary Arabic music.
“Wind’s Daughter”, “Ambassador of the Arab Culture”, “Umm Kulthum’s Granddaughter”, are just some of the titles she was given.
Benali was rated among the 1st Ten “Most Fondly Remembered Live Performances of 2013” by The New York Times, she received the “World of Music Award” for the best world music song from The British Independent Organization in 2008.
