For the FIRST time in his career, the WORLD'S famous pioneer obstetrician and scientific researcher Michel Odent is coming to Dubai to read two lectures at Millennium Plaza Hotel on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 March 2018.
ALL the aspects of child birth irth will be covered from Home Birth, Hospital Birth, Water Birth and much, much more.
Dr. Michel Odent is one the world’s famous obstetricians.
He is not only a medical professional but a scientist as well.
He wrote 16 books which were translated into 24 languages based on 50+ years of experience in the field of Birth, scientific research and good statistics.
In the 1970s he was the first obstetrician to write about water-births in medical literature.
He introduced the concept of ‘home-like’ birth centres in hospitals and birthing pools – which are now standard in maternity units throughout the world.
He has built his reputation on an anthropological fascination of women and the way they have delivered babies since the beginning of time.
YouTube may now be the home for clips of newborns crawling to find a breast, but it was Michel Odent who first documented this ability in medical literature.
In fact, he wrote the article about the initiation of lactation during the hour following birth in 1977.
He continues his research, continues to travel and read his lectures on the regular basis and is full of interest for life. He is also the founder of the Primal Health Research database.
