Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi comes to Joharah Ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah on Thursday 11 October 2018.

Acclaimed singer and music composer Shekhar Ravjiani, one of the most celebrated names in Indian music, will take to Dubai for the first time this October in a magical performance, 'Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi...’.

A tribute to late ‘Ghazal King’ Jagjit Singh who passed away in 2011.

Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi is a nostalgic showcase featuring a rich legacy of music from the most accomplished Ghazal singer and composer of all time.

Music aficionados can look forward to renditions including Hothon Se Cholo Tum, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Tumko Dekha, Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, Tum Itna Jo, Yeh Daulat Bhi Le Lo and scores of others from an illustrious career that spanned five decades.

Guests attending the showcase are encouraged to dress in white and gold to reflect the majesty of the musical journey that they will experience.


​Shekhar Ravjiani
Shekhar Ravjiani is the Indian music industry’s foremost singer and composer.

He received his musical education from Ustad Niaz Ahmed Khan before being taken under the guidance of his mentor Shri Jagjit Singh, whom he pays fitting tribute to. Shekhar’s own songs have swayed millions of hearts around the world over the past 20 years.

Together with partner Vishal Dadlani, he has composed highly successful soundtracks for over 65 films including Student Of The Year, Bang Bang, Chennai Express, Befikre, the mega hit Sultan and more recently Tiger Zinda Hai.

He has also sung several popular tracks that have won him the love and adulation of global fans, including Radha, Meherbaan and Gehra Ishq from Neerja.

The showcase will also feature Deepak Pandit, one of the most sought after violinists in India.

Having worked with Jagjit Singh for 23 years and arranged more than 70 albums for him, Deepak has collaborated and performed with some great names in the music industry - singers like Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghosal.

Pandit has also composed music for several films, including The Namesake, I am Kalam, The Great Indian Butterfly and Dhoop.

The show in Dubai also has renowned lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar who had a close association with Jagjit Singh and will recite some of his poetry.
