James Live in Dubai 2018

at The Irish Village Garhoud | Garhoud

Description

DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED DEMAND FOR TICKETS, THE UPCOMING james CONCERT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE DUBAI DUTY FREE TENNIS STADIUM.

After an all-too-brief appearance at the 2016 Dubai Jazz Festival, UK indie rockers James are preparing for a triumphant full-length show to Dubai with their ‘Living in Extraordinary Times Tour’ at The Irish Village Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium on Thursday 22 November 2018.

This time the band are sporting a brand-new album ‘Living in Extraordinary Times” which was released on 3 August 2018 as well as all their huge back catalogue of British classics.

James’ 1993 hit ‘Laid’ became the soundtrack to early 90s alternative radio before finding a second life through its use in teen hit American Pie films.

James had already had a decade of hits by the time Laid arrived, having risen from Manchester’s legendary Factory Records scene into one of the biggest UK bands in the world by the dawn of the 90s.

With worldwide hits including Laid, Sit Down, Sound, Getting Away With It (All Messed Up), She’s a Star and Just Like Fred Astaire, and selling over 25 million records worldwide, the band has a reputation of having a huge passionate fan base as well as playing brilliant live gigs.

2016 saw the release of 'Girl at the End of the World', their most commercially and critically successful album for nearly twenty years, which came close to knocking Adele’s 25 off the prized number 1 spot of the UK album chart.

The new album seems to touch upon contemporary fissures in society, with lead singer Tim Booth commenting: “We knew something was up when Leicester City won the Premier League then Brexit, then Trump. It is as if we’d slipped into an alternate reality, a Philip K Dick reality. We are living in extraordinary times.”

With sell out shows, great reviews and mad fans, James are known the world over as one of the best live acts playing today.

"We are looking forward to playing to the boys and girls at the end of the world (from our corner of the world). If you enjoyed our last trip, evangelise this one to your friends, and we can make this a regular liaison," added Booth.

This is one concert of 2018 that you must not miss.
