Music in the Studio 2020: Paul Archibald & Helen Reid at Dubai Opera on Wednesday 26 February 2020.
Paul Archibald is one of the leading classical brass players and a great exponent in the musical education sphere.
He has been a principal player in the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London Sinfonietta and BBC National Orchestra of Wales and was a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and English Brass Ensemble and is currently a member of the innovative chamber ensemble, Fibonacci Sequence.
He has recorded with many popular artists including Barbara Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Sir Paul McCartney and Oasis and film work includes Batman, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and Shrek.
Paul has been a professor at the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, was Head of Wind, Brass and Percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, London.
Curated by internationally renowned pianist Amira Fouad, Music in the Studio is set in Dubai Opera’s acoustically flawless studio, allowing for a more atmospheric experience between the musicians and their audiences.
