The Laughter Factory pres The Best of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival feat. Glenn Wool, Sofie Hagen & Mark Watson - RAK April 2018

at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island | Marjan Island

Description

UAE comedy institution The Laughter Factory returns with three stellar comics including Glenn Wool, Sofie Hagen and Mark Watson to DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island on Wednesday 25 April 2018.

It’s time to start taking responsibility for your own happiness and what better way than watching three of the worlds finest stand ups amuse you and a bunch of your mates.

We guarantee that nothing will bring you closer.

Talking constant nonsense can be draining, so for one night a month give your mouth a break and let the professionals do it for you.

Trust us, you will feel so much better at the end.

If you haven't yet heard of Sofie Hagen, we can guarantee you will soon – since winning the career-making Best Newcomer award at last year's Edinburgh Fringe, this 28-year-old Danish dynamo has exploded, landing mainstream TV slots including BBC's The One Show and Comedy Central's Russell Howard's Stand Up Central.

Also on the bill will be ‘ Mock the week star’ Mark Watson and Canadian TV star Glen Wool whose appearances on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ set UK tongues wagging at full speed.

Mark Watson
Mark Watson is one of the country’s most beloved and critically acclaimed live comedians and has had a long and notable Fringe career since he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2005 Perrier Awards, before being awarded the 2006 if.comedy Panel Prize for performing one of his now-legendary marathon stand-up shows.

Away from Edinburgh, he’s taken home the Time Out Critics Choice Award, been nominated for a Barry Award from the Melbourne Comedy Festival, as well as winning Best Show at both Sydney and Adelaide.

In a less pleasant TV engagement, he lost almost three stone and faced a crippling lifelong phobia during a much talked-about stint on The Island with Bear Grylls (C4).

Sofie Hagen
Awarded the Best Newcomer Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2015, Sofie’s assured, informed and deeply personal comedy has made her a star in the UK and throughout Europe.

She is currently on a UK and European Tour and is one of the most in-demand new voices going.

Glenn Wool
Glenn is a regular TV face having made appearances on John Olivers' New York Comedy Show (USA), 7DAYS (NZ), Melbourne Comedy Gala (AUS), Funny as Hell (HBO/CAN), Russell Howards Good News (UK), Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The BBC Stand Up Show, The Live Floor Show, 28 Acts in 28 Minutes and The Comic side of Seven Days for the BBC.

He continues to be a regular in Comedy Cuts, the comedy show from ITV2. Glenn also wrote and starred in What's The Story?' broadcast on Channel 4 as part of the Comedy Lab season.
