Following its smash hit run at London’s Dominion Theatre, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s EVITA is set to thrill audiences once again.
Evita tells the famous story of Eva Peron, First Lady to Argentine president Juan Peron, who has dedicated her life to charity and has been heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’.
Released as a rock opera in 1976, the iconic show, translated into over 14 languages, has over 40 years of success in the West End and Broadway.
Its revived 2006 West End version is to 'watch Evita at its very best, this is the show you have to see'.
The legendary show combines the best of musical with award winning songs. After 20 years of its first release Don’t Cry For Me Argentina was again a number one hit in eight countries and sold over one million copies in the UK alone.
With more than 20 major awards to its credit, and the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
