Music One-Off Event DJ Music Festival

Description

Kaynouna: The Circle Festival 2018 - Season Finale comes to The Secret Garden, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel on Friday 6 April 2018.

It is with great pleasure that we present to you our season closing - The Circle Festival. On Friday 6 April, we celebrate with this lineup of phenomenal artists and a beautiful crowd such as yourselves.

At The Circle Festival, we aim to put all of the puzzle pieces together, combining elements from our past events to ensure that each chakra is attended to.

With mini chakra healing sections scattered around our Secret Garden, Kaynouna aims to let everyone be as they wish to be, under one umbrella, the music.

For this special occasion, we bring back a quote that we last used in our first event, The Intro:

“I'm an entertainer. That is to say, in the same sense, that when you go to a concert and you listen to someone play Mozart, he has nothing to sell except the sound of the music. He doesn’t want to convert you to anything. He doesn’t want you to join an organization in favor of Mozart's music as opposed to, say, Beethoven's. And I approach you in the same spirit as a musician with his piano or a violinist with his violin. I just want you to enjoy a point of view that I enjoy.” ~ Alan Watts

THE LINEUP:

NICO STOJAN
Berlin native, Nico Stojan, has been across the planet taking people on musical journeys since the early nineties.

He has developed a deep love for Jazz & Hip Hop before the vibrant growth of the famous Berlin electronic nightlife.

Nico's productions find perfect harmony between analogue & digital sounds, irresistable grooves accompanied by entrancing melodies.

As a co-founder of Ouïe records, together with Acid Pauli, Nico is planning to produce more showcases and present his vision of modern dance music around the globe.

MILO HÄFLIGER
From the very first instant of each of his sets, Milo Häfliger prepares us for an astonishing journey and invites us to reconnect with our true selves to probe deep inside our being for buried or sometimes forgotten feelings.

This is how a beautiful story begins in the heart of our unconsciousness, underlined by refined ethnic sounds and highly emotional melodies.

We get by and by seized in a world of sweetness with melancholic accents and our ears discover an enchanting poem that needs no words.

Music selected by Milo raises stunning emotions and brings about strong messages; it makes us question the world which surrounds us. It brings us together, opens our minds and leads us to sometimes forgotten essential values such as sharing, meeting, discovering.

Finally, we can say that Milo belongs to those artists who subtly offer us a new look on our world like a little note of hope in the hubbub of the world around us.

KIASMOS (DJ Set)
Sometimes, after a long exhausting day, you wish someone would bring you to bed, tuck you in, tell you a fantastic story?

A tale that is surprising and exciting but also warm and cosy and embraces you like a soft and fluffy blanket?

That´s how a KIASMOS DJ Set works.

Kiasmos was started in 2009 by Icelandic BAFTA-winning composer ÓLAFUR ARNALDS, known for his unique blend of minimal piano and string compositions with electronic sounds, and JANUS RASMUSSEN from the Faroe Islands, known as the mastermind of the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup.

Based in Reykjavík, Arnalds used to work as a sound engineer, often for Rasmussen's other projects, where the two musicians discovered their common love for minimal, experimental music.

They eventually became best friends, often hanging out in their studio, exploring electronic sounds.

People were thrilled by their style, their live presence and the pleasure to watch them at work in their very own and special way.

In 2014, they even managed to capture this experience on their debut album ‚Kiasmos‘ (Erased Tapes Records).

DAWA (LIVE)
A trio of friends brought together by their varied but equally passionate tastes in music.

Comprised of solo artist Jay Abo, and music producers Félix and Imad Atoui, Dawa strives to combine themes of blues, oriental, and electronic music in a live setting to deliver audiences an experience inspired by Middle Eastern roots but performed from a contemporary and modern perspective.
