Virtual Happy Hour with The Tasting Class: Pairing to Vegetarian and Vegan Cuisine on Friday 27 March 2020.

Here's what you need to know and do if you want to join for FREE.

  • Follow @TheTastingClass on Instagram or Facebook
  • Grab the same or similar product we'll be tasting - below are the grapes we'll start with & some alternative ideas if you can't get the same.
  • Join in from home via Insta or FB Live, taste along and ask questions

All the grapes have been sourced from MMI in Dubai and Spinneys n Abu Dhabi, who are also offering a 10% discount off bubbles, grapes and spirits when you show this post in-store.

However, if you're already well-stocked, just grab a similar bottle (suggestions below), such as the same grape variety, and join in!

We'll be opening four bottles but just open however many you feel like and join us!

The bottles we will be enjoying are all vegetarian, organic and/or bio-dynamic as well.

  1. Gérard Bertrand Reserve Special Sauvignon Blanc (AED 80). We will pair it to a green salad, sushi and/or deep-fried food. Alternative bottles are any Sauvignon Blanc at all.

  2. False Bay Crystalline Chardonnay (AED 60). We will pair it to a dish with sweet root vegetables like sweet potatoes, carrot or pumpkin. Alternative bottles are any Chardonnay from outside of France.

  3. Bonterra Pinot Noir (AED 142) We will pair it to a mushroom-based dish. Alternative bottles are any Pinot Noir at all.

  4. Schloss Vollrads Riesling (Approx. AED 160) We will pair it to a Thai dish with a bit of chilli in it. Alternative bottles are any off-dry bottle or any Riesling at all.

Veggies are full of flavour and texture, and there are loads of great pairing options.

For the full experience get your food ready, too. We'll be ordering ours in from BB Social Dining.

If you’re really into it, download some tasting aids too! Here are some free versions online:
